The Accounting Solutions Team
Formed as a Partnership by Justin & Mandy Isaacs in 2001, the accounting practice has grown from strength to strength.
In 2003, AJI Accounting Solutions Ltd was formed, but retained the trading name of Accounting Solutions. In February 2005 the business purchased premises in Ruabon, Wrexham. In July 2011 Accounting Solutions moved into it’s current premises in Johnstown, Wrexham, having converted the old Travellers Inn to a modern, professional office space, giving us our own car park, two new meeting rooms and a stand alone reception area (which incorporates the old pub bar and metal footrest!). The building is steeped in history and still has a World War 2 bomb shelter in the cellars – if you’re feeling brave, ask for a tour of the cellars!
Justin, our MD, is a fully qualified CIMA Accountant and before starting the practice, worked in the construction industry as a Management Accountant.
Justin qualified in 1993 and worked as a Management Accountant in various businesses, mainly construction. He has an astute business mind and enjoys very much assisting businesses in their forward planning and problem solving. He is down to earth, very easy to talk to and will explain everything in plain English!
In his spare time, he is happiest by the river bank, playing with the fish or off over the countryside on his off-road motorcyle.
Mandy Isaacs is a fully qualified PA. She runs the payroll department and currently completes all of the Self Assesment Tax Returns.
Mandy has more than 30 years experience within office environments. She specialises in running our own administration here at Accounting Solutions, but she also runs our payroll and self-assessment tax return departments. She has become quite the expert in payroll and can offer advice in this area.
Mandy also loves to travel and her favourite places to visit are Venice and Florida.
In addition to Justin and Mandy, Accounting Solutions has four excellent staff members – Ben, Darren, Karen and Tom.
Ben Isaacs, MAAT, is fully qualified in AAT and is now working towards his ACCA qualification. Ben assists Justin with Company Secretarial, Financial Statements for Companies House, Corporation Tax Returns and overseeing the general bookkeeping in the office.
Ben is 23 years old. If he has the time inbetween his studies, he enjoys nothing more than being under a car engine, covered in oil!
Darren Jones is an AAT Finalist, hoping to qualify in 2011. He concentrates on getting the VAT Returns completed each month, ensuring Annual Returns are submitted to Companies House on time and is also the administrator for our two largest clients.
STOP PRESS: We are extremely proud to announce that Darren has passed his AAT Finals in August 2011 and is now a fully qualified Accounts Technician. CONGRATULATIONS DARREN!
Darren is just 21 years of age and his spare time is dedicated to his music & his bands (AMFX & 4jerry), as well as his Accountancy Studies.
Karen assists Mandy with the day to day running of Accounting Solutions, she also handles the smooth running of the Payroll Department. In addition to this, she is the first point of contact for you when you telephone us or call in to the office. What a busy lady!
Karen joined us in September 2009, having just completed many business qualifications at Yale College, Wrexham. She is also a busy mum outside of work and most of her spare time is taken up with that.
Thomas Crawford is our newest member of staff, having joined us full time in September 2010. Thomas is at the intermediary stage of AAT and is responsible for the day to day bookkeeping. He is the guy who sorts out your paperwork when you send it in to us!
Tom is also 21 years old. His passion outside of work is rugby and he currently plays for Ruthin Rugby Club. He is a keep-fit fanatic and certainly in good condition!
